Empowered for Purpose: The Strength of Today’s Youth
“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12
In every generation, God raises a people equipped to carry His light into the world, and the youth are often at the forefront of that mission. They carry fresh vision, unshaken zeal, and the strength to pursue change where others may have grown weary. But more than energy and ambition, what defines a strong youth in this era is a heart anchored in Christ.
In a world filled with distractions and shifting values, it is vital for young people to find their identity in God’s Word and to be deeply rooted in His presence. Their strength must be more than physical; it must be spiritual, drawn from time spent with the Lord, sharpened by community, and strengthened through obedience.
As a church, we must not only celebrate the strength of our youth but also disciple, equip, and release them into their God-ordained destinies. When properly mentored, young people can be bold witnesses in their schools, workplaces, and even nations.
Let us continue to pray for a generation that is not only strong but spiritually empowered, purpose-driven, and unwavering in their faith.
PRAYERS FOR THE YOUTHS.
· Pray that the Lord will raise up strong and vibrant youth who will represent Him in all fields of endeavor. (1 Chron. 12:32)
· Ask the Lord to raise up a generation of youth who are passionate for Him, grounded in truth, and courageous in living out their faith.
· Ask that the Lord will help the youth in Nigeria and other nations to channel their strength towards worthy causes, in the service of God and humanity. Proverbs 8:12.
· Pray for a massive revival of the Youths, who are beginning to forget God in pursuit of Worldly affairs.
· Pray and ask the Lord to help them develop strong and a positive nation building character.
Pray that the older generation will learn to embrace the younger generation and vice versa, towards a robust labour that will yield great harvest for the Kingdom.
